old Travel Permit

Travel Permit is a one-way travel document, issued to a Bangladeshi citizen who does not possess a valid Bangladesh passport but intends to return to Bangladesh. Physical present at the Consulate General is mandatory for Travel Permit issuance, the Travel Permit cannot be dispatched through postal services and valid for a specified period.

Requirements for issuing a Travel permit:

i) Copy of the previous passport,
ii) Copy of Birth certificate or National ID
iii) 1 passport size colour photographs with white background
iv) The photographs should be not older than 6 months.
v) Copy of Police report for the lost passport and
vi) Personal Appearance

Step 1:

Please download and fill-out the ‘Travel Permit Application Form’:
Complete the form, upload the required documents (mentioned above) and photograph then submit.

Step 2:

Print the confirmation page and sign.

Step 3:

Please book an appointment for your physical presence at the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Toronto. In-person appointment will confirm your picture, finger prints and signature.

Step 4:

Please pay an amount of C$ 60 (sixty) by a bank draft/pay order/postal order addressed to “Bangladesh Consulate General in Toronto”. You may pay the same through debit/credit card at the Consulate General during your personal appearance, a fee of C$2 would be charged extra if you pay by a credit card. Consulate General does not allow any cash transaction.

Step 5:

Please be on-time at your appointment at the Consulate General.

Step 6:

The Consular Agent will examine your papers, if the interview and papers are satisfactory the ‘Travel Permit’ will be issued’.
