Mr Nayem Uddin Ahmed
Consul General of Bangladesh in Toronto, Canada

Consul General Nayem Uddin Ahmed is the eldest child of Md. Giashuddin Ahmed, a valiant freedom fighter and retired Secretary of the Bangladesh Government and Mrs Chemon Ara Ahmed (Renu), passed SSC from Habiganj Government High School; HSC from Notre Dame College; BSS Honors and MSS in International Relations from the Dhaka University.
After joining Bangladesh Foreign Service, served as Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka; Third Secretary/Second Secretary/First Secretary in Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the UN Offices and other International Organisations in Geneva, Switzerland; First Secretary and Charge d’ Affaires a.i. in Bangladesh Embassy in Ankara, Turkey; Deputy Chief of Protocol (Visit and Protocol Policy) in Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka; Counsellor Political in Bangladesh Embassy in Washington D.C. Prior to joining as Bangladesh Consul General in Toronto he was Minister in the Bangladesh High Commission in Ottawa, Canada
